Position: Ephrata - Next Steps Director
Reports to: Ephrata Campus Pastor
Location: Ephrata LCBC, Ephrata PA
Hours Commitment: 45-50 hours/week.  Monday through Thursday and a flexible week day off. Weekend gathering shifts as scheduled.

Purpose statement: To facilitate lives changed by Christ by helping people identify and take the next step in their journey with Jesus.

Personal Qualifications:      

  • Can articulate an identifiable salvation experience.
  • Lives out a pattern of spiritual development characterized by prayer, Bible study, stewardship, and regular participation at LCBC.
  • Supports LCBC’s purpose, mission, priorities, doctrinal statement, philosophy of ministry, doctrinal statement, and style of worship.
  • Shows a desire to grow, develop, and mature, both spiritually and professionally.
  • Displays spirit of cooperation and willingness to serve on a team.
  • Exhibits pride in the image of LCBC as it reflects on the image of Christ portrayed to the congregation, staff, and guests.
  • Passion to provide the LCBC staff with the best possible technological support possible within the means provided to do so.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Has visible presence of connecting with people in the atrium on Weekends.
  • Achieve 60% Group engagement on the campus predominantly in small Groups.
  • Oversee and coordinate onsite, offsite, and online Groups for LCBC Ephrata location.
  • Identify and develop Leaders for the above Group environments.
  • Managing Care Ministries systems for LCBC Ephrata, participating in overseeing the PRT rotation, Benevolence Team and the development of chaplains-on-call.
  • Create and sustain easy on-ramps for serving opportunities to achieve 50% of adult attendees on your campus serving in some capacity.
  • Ensure Next Steps Class schedule consistency each month, content and blueprint is followed and participate in teaching Next Steps classes.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Baptism process.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Be Rich initiative.
  • Recruit, develop and appreciate volunteers for each of the areas of responsibility above.
  • Duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor.


  • The Ephrata Next Steps Director will meet regularly with the Ephrata Campus Pastor for planning, goal setting, progress updates, and general coaching. A formal Action and Development Plan will be completed and reviewed three times throughout the year.
