Role: Central - Groups Administrative Coordinator
Reports to: Central Groups Director
Location: LCBC - Central Office, Manheim PA
Hours Commitment: In Office hours are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week 

Objective: The Central Groups Administrative Coordinator is a team-oriented individual who is responsible for assisting and supporting the Central Groups Team in developing healthy, robust small groups by overseeing the administrative functions of the department, as well as serving as an administrative assistant to the Central Groups Director.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience leading others and/or facilitating volunteer teams.
  • Experience as an administrative assistant.

  • Sense of humor, but serious about deadlines.
  • Able to be "technical enough" - have the knowledge to understand the end goal and the processes it takes to achieve it.
  • Strong computer and Windows based software skills.

  • Participates in a group setting 3 of 4-semester cycles per year.
  • Administration:
    • Manages scheduling and appointments for Central Groups Director.
    • Works with the Central Groups team to evaluate group on-boarding systems and attendance processes to best serve campuses.
    • Responds to emails or phone calls related to small groups in a timely manner, troubleshooting any area of concern.
    • Update and maintain the Groups Director, database, and website in conjunction with 4 primary start/stop seasons throughout the year.
  • Metrics & Reporting:
    • Prepare and compile monthly Elder Board reporting of all Groups environments.
    • Creates and maintains master lists and reports to assist Next Step Directors in tracking small group numbers.
    • Track trends and proactively monitor Groups participation across all LCBC locations.
    • Monitor weekly attendance and prompt locations to follow up with leaders on a regular basis during groups seasons.
  • Project Management:
    • Work alongside the Next Steps Project Manager to keep a big picture overview of ongoing groups initiatives and act as a gatekeeper between communications and locations at our weekly Communication syncs.
    • Work with outside vendors to ensure quality control of materials and adequate delivery deadlines for each campus for new project collateral and materials.
    • Collaborate with Central Groups Team regarding inventory, revisions, and/or development of Groups leader training materials, Groups brochures, banners, posters, etc. executing through our Communications team.
  • Curriculum Development:
    • Collaborate with Central Groups Team to execute curriculum development by editing and publishing (print and digital) any necessary curriculum, training materials, tools, etc. as needed.
    • Contributes to the promotion of the Group Ministry by working with the Central Groups Team to proof weekly sermon-based content for LCBC attenders.
  • Location Training:
    • Work closely with locations staff to train on best practices for onboarding volunteers and central goals.
    • Attends select retreats and conferences with Groups Team.


The Central Groups Administrative Coordinator staff member will meet regularly with the Central Groups Director for planning, goal-setting, progress updates, and general coaching. A formal Action and Development Plan will be completed and reviewed three times throughout the year.
