Description
Position: Central Office Receptionist Part-time (Temporary)
Reports to: Lead Administrative Coordinator
Location: Central Office, Manheim PA
Hours Commitment: 23 hours per week (Mon thru Fri - 12:30 - 5:00 pm)

Objective: To provide phone and light clerical support of the reception area for the Central Office.

Education, Skills & Experiences:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer/software savvy - abilities to embrace, learn, and adapt to digital tools and utilize them well.
  • Exhibit a calm demeanor and communicate well with others.
  • Ability to handle answering multiple incoming phone calls in a professional, discreet manner.
  • A very pleasant phone manner with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency with standard office equipment and computers, including Windows-based software (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel) and willingness to learn.
  • Strong people and conflict resolution skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • The ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in handling office matters of a sensitive nature.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Answer all incoming phone calls, get information, and direct the call to the proper person.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests, vendors, volunteers and staff with a smile and make them feel welcome.
  • Sort mail and distribute accordingly.
  • Compile Prayer update information from each campus and follow through with a Prayer update All Staff email Monday thru Friday.
  • Learn church management software to be able to execute a variety of tasks.
  • Assist Accounting department with mailing out payables weekly.
  • Assist support staff with various projects as needed.
Evaluation:
  • The PT Temporary Receptionist will meet regularly with Lead Administrative Coordinator for planning, goal setting, progress updates, and general coaching. A formal Action and Development Plan will be completed and reviewed three times throughout the year for as long as the PT Temporary Receptionist position is needed.
